Preview
Real Madrid kicks off the 2024/2025 Liga F season against RCD Espanyol. The recently promoted team awaits Las Blancas in Barcelona for the first matchday of Liga F.
The Catalan team last played in the first division in the 2020/2021 season when they ended in the 16th position and was one of the 4 teams to be relegated that season. They are back four years later to the first division, alongside Deportivo Abanca who also took four years to return.
There are a lot of reinforcements in the white club’s squad for this season. Alongside the eight new summer signings are two returnees from long-term injuries. Both Caroline Weir and Carla Camacho return after tearing their ACLs. The two players debuted in the preseason and are officially back on the roster for the start of the season. On the other side, Linda Caicedo is with her national team playing the U-20 World Cup and will be unavailable for this matchweek. Antonia Silva and Naomie Feller are unavailable due to injury.
The kick-off is at 20:00 CEST on Ciudad Deportiva Dani Jarque in Barcelona. The match will be broadcast on DAZN and will be available to watch for free on the platform with a created account.
