Welcome to The Daily Merengue — a place where you can feel free to discuss all things football. Do not be alarmed by the overt RMCF bias. It’s in the name!
Shoutout to the Mods who do a fantastic job, Valyrian Steel, KungFuZizou, NeRObutBlanco, Felipejack, and Juninho (the “shadows”).
A Center Back…?
Good news as it appears that Alaba and Rudi are on a trajectory to be healthy for the City tie at the Bernabeu. Personally, I’d only start Rudi if he’s 100% but let’s collectively prepare for Asencio to be benched.
The Anti-Arda…the Odegaard?
Nico Paz continues to have a scintillating young career at Como in Serie A. Real Madrid maintains our buyback clause on him as it’ll be a shame to let this young talent fully leave this club. Hopefully, at some point in the future we’ll see Nico consistently playing for the first team.
A Tiny Bit of Unnoticed MM Chaos
Real Madrid have dropped points in THREE consecutive La Liga games for the first time in nearly five years. We won’t speak on who returned from suspension prior to this…but we will state who played LW in the games prior — Rodrygo.
️ Rodrygo: “I came here with the aim of winning everything and achieving all the titles, but I never imagined that I would win them so quickly. I never imagined that I would have two Champions Leagues already, I am very happy.” pic.twitter.com/2MKWJG7OwL
