The Ice Dragon Boat Race was held on the ice surface of Wolong Lake in Shenyang, Liaoning Province on Thursday. Contestants competed enthusiastically, rousing the cheers of residents and tourists. A winter ice and snow feast that combines sports competition and cultural tourism has begun, adding a unique touch of brightness to Shenyang in winter.

The Ice Dragon Boat Race is an innovation and extension of the dragon boat sport, retaining its skills and competitiveness while breaking the limitations of the traditional dragon boat sport season. It is a brand-new ice sport that combines competitiveness, teamwork and entertainment. On the ice, colorful flags are flying, and gongs and drums are roaring to the sky. Although the wind is cold, it is hard to curb people’s enthusiasm for the Ice Dragon Boat Race.
