UCL Matchday!
With yesterday game results, we sit in 22th position, so it is a crucial match. Our opponent, RB Salzburg, is at 33th position, with 6 points – only one victory in the last 5 UCL games.
Tchouámeni has recovered and is part of the squad list. Given that Fede likely starts at RB, I guess Tchou is starting at midfield.
For Marca, the expected line-up is: Courtois; Fede, Asencio, Rüdiger, Fran; Tchouaméni, Ceballos, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Mbappé, Vinicius. However, for the sadness of many here, there was a report saying Mendy is the starting LB.
Vini, Modric or Endrick are one yellow card away of being suspended in the next UCL league phase game, against Brestois.
Carlo’s reply to leaving rumor.
As expected, the coach was asked about yesterday’s rumor.
I want to be very clear. I will never decide the date I will exit this club. Never in my life. I know perfectly that this day will come. Just don’t know when, I am not the one who decides. It can be tomorrow after the game, it can be in the next game, in one year or in five years; I don’t know. I have an objective, given we have Florentino here for another 4 years. He knows me very well. My objective is to reach Floretino’s 4 years, so we can make a farewell together with all affection in the world.
A report stated that Real Madrid have total faith on Carlo and they consider him “unique, and no one is like him”.
Carlo answered a tactical question about Vini and Mbappe
In beginning, Mbappe interchanged positions more often with Vini, because Vini also likes to play inside and scored a lot goals when playing inside. Now, they interchange a little less. But this change we made recently was only to establish in the offensive level the position of Bellingham, who plays behind them, so we could improve Mbappe performance. You can score a goal starting the play from outside, but you need more touches. If you play more inside, you don’t need to make many touches in the ball. Escaping the press and one touch are enough. And Mbappe best quality is his escaping with the speed he has.
Signing rumors
One source says TAA has signed with Real Madrid until 2030 and will be announced on July 1st. But other rumor states Davies has renewed with Bayern.
