A Flurry of News

So yesterday’s there was a of news. I’ll try my best to catch you up with my limited time…

Coaching. Again more rumors about coaching. The quick hits are that it appears Jurgen Klopp rumors of off the mark (and generated primarily by SPORT a Catalan newspaper). Klopp was always a reach for a multitude of reasons, but the name that never seems to not be linked to Madrid is — Xabi Alonso. IMO this is almost a certainty — I’ve said it for a while tbh. Yes, he will cost a fee but it is negligible for a club of our status and its more of credit for good future business with Bayer (who could legitimately just say “no”). Maybe we can evade this with a player transfer — higher price for Wirtz? Arda Guler? Anyway, I’m also more inclined towards Xabi being the Chosen One once we also see the news of what players seem to be linked to Madrid this summer.

Incoming Players. Again yesterday there was more information regarding potential incoming players. I’m only going to take time to quickly highlight three players who have been associated or linked to Xabi / Bayer Leverkusen. As we continue on the Zubi / Wirtz rumor mill, there are hints that Zubimendi & Wirtz are holding out and waiting for Real Madrid before deciding their futures. Both players have been consistently linked to Xabi with reports stating that they would prefer to follow him. If these two arrivals land at Madrid, don’t be surprised if we lose some of our fan favorites (or players you just dont like). Names that have been rumored to potentially depart to make space for these two could be: Tchouameni, Camavinga, Rodrygo, Arda Guler, Brahim and..Vinicius Jr. (who has yet to renew his contract). It may be a memorable summer for better or worse.

Another player I’d like to highlight as this rumor was shocking is Espanyol’s GK — Joan Garcia who was also linked to Madrid coinciding with a potential departure of Lunin. This rumor is only interesting as I’ve yet to see him linked to us BUT I’ve seen him linked to Bayer Leverkusen for a few weeks or months. Is that Xabi influence?

Incoming Grads? There are also increasing rumors about Real Madrid monitoring some of their recent Castilla grads to potentially bring back to the squad. The striking name really is Nico Paz who has shown the brightest in Serie A. Personally, I hope he stays in Serie A + with Cesc Fabregas to develop. There have been rumors about Inter circling around Nico but hopefully he just continues to play games as imo that’s the best way to actually develop. We may need Arda / Endrick to take this route as well. Well particularly Arda…who is surely losing his confidence. Mario and Aelx are interesting potential grads but I’m not sure if we really have space or the need. I’d rather buy Dean than bring Mario back and Alex is a solid RB (if i remember correctly), but with TAA + Carva I’m not sure if the minutes are there yet. I guess we should wait to see how the summer transfer window shakes up + CWC. Maybe in August Alex + Mario will be required supplements to our squad.

Swear you MMers don’t know ish about my stress, about my woes. And my obsession with success by definition of my own. Sure as death is waitin’ on my flesh and bones. Demon callin’ my spirit, had to click the phone. Couldn’t get to [] quick enough to give her warm big hugs. Told her, “You like the strongest woman on the f—’ globe”. I watched my momma lose her momma, go through drama and trauma but had to keep her head high so we don’t even know. I’m gettin’ older. So when the world’s feelin’ enormous on your back and on your arms. And your feet just as heavy you been draggin’ through the storm. Starin’ at the city, but you trapped inside a hole. Get your back up off the ropes, keep swangin’ on.
