Welcome to a new series on Managing Madrid: Highlight packages and player comps! As we delve into more and more video content, we’ll also be keeping it in mind to make player comps after games — both Real Madrid at the club level as well as its players on international duty. We’ll also do historical videos, as well as compilations over longer sample sizes. We hope you enjoy.
Real Madrid came away with a vital 0 – 2 away win against Real Sociedad on Sunday night thanks to two penalties converted by Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe respectively. While Carlo Ancelotti’s men go the result, the overall performance left a lot to be desired, with Ancelotti himself stating after the game that Real Sociedad deserved to win.
There weren’t many standouts for Real Madrid, but one player who did do well do distribute under pressure was Luka Modric, who had the most touches (83) and key passes (3) of anyone on the field.
We’ve compiled some of Modric’s touches from the game below.
